The Relaxie residence, located on the Belgian coast, is exposed to a very aggressive maritime climate. To ensure the structural integrity of the terraces and facades, SANACON conducted a specialized concrete inspection aimed at detecting chloride-initiated reinforcement corrosion.
Our approach:
Chloride profile measurements: Analysis of salt intrusion at different depths to determine the current threat to the reinforcement.
Potential measurements: Non-destructive localization of active corrosion foci, allowing targeted repairs without having to tackle the entire facade.
Technical Restoration Plan: Preparation of detailed advice for concrete restoration and the selection of durable protective coatings resistant to salty sea air.
Result: With SANACON’s scientific substantiation, the Association of Co-Owners (VME) has an objective foundation for the facade renovation. Our approach guarantees that the restoration measures are effective in the long term and that the aesthetic and structural value of the residence is preserved.
