Commissioned by the City of Kortrijk and Parko, SANACON is conducting a detailed technical assessment of the Budabrug underground parking garage. This study focuses on the analysis of crack formation in the concrete structure, a crucial aspect for ensuring watertightness and long-term structural integrity.
Our approach:
Crack diagnosis: Mapping and characterization of active and passive cracks in walls and floor slabs.
Root cause analysis: Investigation into the underlying causes, such as shrinkage stresses, thermal effects or structural loads.
Monitoring: Follow-up of the crack width evolution to determine whether the damage has stabilized or whether further measures are required.
Restoration advice: Formulating technical solutions for the sustainable injection or sealing of the cracks, with specific attention to the maritime influence of the nearby Leie.
