Our team conducted a crucial stability study for a historic building on Antwerp’s Keyserlei. The existing structure—a mix of barrel vaults and wooden beams—exhibited severe corrosion and deflection due to prolonged moisture exposure. With a new hospitality venue in the pipeline, a major structural overhaul was necessary.

Reinforcement of barrel vaults: Application of Hilti dowels and a new concrete compression layer for maximum stability.
Floor replacement: Integrating modern beam-and-post systems in critical areas.
Foundation & Columns: Calculation and replacement of steel columns in the basement and mezzanine.
The Result: By combining technical expertise with a tight schedule, we transformed a fragile shell into a solid, future-proof foundation. The building now fully meets modern standards for intensive commercial use.
