As part of a judicial expert assessment, SANACON was appointed to conduct an independent technical audit of the concrete structure of Residence Odiel in Aalter. The aim of the investigation was to objectively determine the actual in-situ concrete quality following deficiencies identified during the construction phase.
Our approach:
Compressive strength analysis (NBN EN 13791): Execution of an extensive programme of core drilling on walls, columns and beams to validate the actual strength class (C25/30).
Gravel Nest Audit: Targeted sampling and analysis at locations with visual construction defects to determine the impact on structural integrity.
Inspection of repair work: Perform pull-off tests in accordance with NBN EN 1504-10 to assess the quality and durability of concrete repairs already carried out.
Independent reporting: Scientific data analysis to support the forensic expert in assessing construction technical conformity.
Result: Thanks to SANACON’s precise on-site measurements and laboratory testing, a factual basis was established for further processing. Our expertise provided a clear assessment of the structural safety and the quality of the materials used, which is essential for the building’s long-term reliability.
